Shop-quantity heat protection: this fire-retardant silicone fiberglass sleeve by the roll protects hoses, wires, and cables at continuous temperatures up to 500°F and intermittent exposure up to 3,000°F. In direct flame, the silicone outer layer transforms into a protective, non-flammable silica coating while the fiberglass inner layer insulates against radiant heat — the same approach used in aerospace and motorsport fire protection.
